Multi Camera studio production, focused on the study of isolated realities in artificial rooms
This intensive course is created for film directors with practical experience in the documentary field. The focus is to introduce the multi camera idea and develop the individual film language of each director. Working with the multi camera production we create space to study reality in conceptual ways, we understand the studio as a laboratory, we invite real people and real situations to the studio and we see this as a space where the director can develop and investigate her artistic style, her methods as a director, her sense of time, space and action. We isolate the study of an action, a character, the effect of a prop on the character, the light setting, the artistic style, a single colour, a fabric, or the interaction between two characters. The conceptual ideas converted to the three cameras, the sense of unbroken time on film and so on. The experience from this course will give the director an awareness of her own filmic language to progress in her future work, may it be documentary, multi camera, fiction or else.
